Statement by Domenyk Eades
(Oct 2022) – winner of inaugural Harden Art Prize 2022
The establishment of the Harden-Murrumburrah/Bendigo Bank Landscape Painting Prize is an important contribution to the promotion of the arts in regional Australia and was made possible through the commitment and vision of members of the local community.
I attended the exhibition launch in Harden, where I was honoured to receive the award of first prize for my painting “Rain-Soaked Outcrop”.
The quality of the artworks at the exhibition and the diverse range of styles represented within the landscape genre were impressive, as were the professional insights of the judges.
I encourage other artists to enter the annual art prize.
